Understanding the Presentations of Anxiety in Children
Delivered by Dr Lynette Rentoul, this universal training is open to all and provides an introduction to understanding the many presentations of anxiety among children. It considers the factors that lead to increased anxiety among children and how school based staff can support anxious children in school. It is highly relevant to children of all ages, including primary and secondary school aged children. It offers many highly practical suggestions for supporting children in school settings.
An Introduction To Self Harm
This training provides an introduction to Self-harm, including its various presentations, what underpins self-harm, and how to support children and young people who self-harm in schools. It includes a consideration of the ways that school-based staff can support children who self-harm, as well as guidance on onward referral for children who self-harm.
An Introduction to the Foundation of Resilience and Prosocial Development in Young Children
This training provides an introduction to the foundation of resilience and prosocial development in young children. It describes the origins and determinants of healthy prosocial development and relational resilience. It offers practical advice and guidance of working with children with compromised prosocial development, many of whom present with a range of relational and behavioural challenges in school and in other settings. It is aimed at primary school aged children but is also highly relevant for those working in early years settings, and secondary school aged children. The training is trauma informed, and links in well with the TIS training and a PACE approach to working with children, with relational difficulties.
Understanding and Responding to eating problems in schools
Delivered by Dr Lynette Rentoul, this training provides an introduction to understanding the various presentations of eating problems and eating disorders. It considers the origins of eating problems and ways of supporting children and young people with eating problems in school settings. It offers practical advice and guidance. It is aimed primarily at Secondary School aged children but is also relevant for younger children.
