Wellbeing Support for Schools post Headstart

Supporting a Whole School, trauma informed, relational Approach to Wellbeing that is “Everybody’s Business”

The Headstart Kernow, lottery funded programme ended on 31^st August). The team are continuing in post and significant elements of the programme are being sustained in our future work.

Our three online resources are part of what's continuing. These resources are all intended to support a Whole School, trauma-informed, relational Approach to wellbeing in schools that is ‘Everybody’s Business’.

The resources are:

• The Cornwall Wellbeing Hub (hub.headstartkernow.org.uk)
• The Wellbeing in Schools Website (headstartkernow.org.uk) – information / resources / online WSA tools)
• The Start Now young people’s website (startnowcornwall.org.uk) created by young people for young people – home of the Connect Card, the Wellbeing and Resilience Acton Plan & Toolkit and more.

A Whole School Approach 

• A Whole School Approach based on the the Eight Principles set out in the Public Health England: "Promoting children and young people’s emotional health and wellbeing: a whole school and college approach".(This is basis of the DfE role / training for Senior MH Leads in Schools

• Everybody’s Business – staff, governors, C&YP, parents & carers, services, partners
